The planning website “Planetizen” now has new educational videos starring ISA's James Carpentier in which viewers can learn about key sign code issues and earn AICP CM credits.

The online courses include topics:

Upcoming courses will be on “Signs 101” and “Policy and Process Considerations with Sign Codes.”

ISA has many resources to help you craft better sign codes for your community. For example, ISA's EMC night-time brightness recommendations have been adopted by over 250 communities across the country. These reasonable brightness levels come with model statutory language and enable EMCs to be effectively visible at night, without being harsh or overly distracting.
