Drive Safe: Signs Aren’t a Distraction

Summer road trips and night-time cruising mean the need for more lighted signs. But EMCs and other digital signs often are criticized as contributing to accidents. Academic research disputes that notion.

 

A statistical analysis conducted by Texas A&M University found no link between the installation of an EMC and additional traffic accidents. The research was published by the Sign Research Foundation.
